The secret to their splendid health consciousness is not any fancy medications but it’s a 48 years old Indian fitness instructor Yasmin Karachiwala.

Yasmin Karachiwala is a Mumbai based fitness instructor who is also a personal trainer for various distinguished Indian celebrities. She is a decorative fitness instructor who specializes in strength training and Pilates and is keeping the Bollywood industry fit. She believes that the body is a temple and you have to respect it at all costs. Since the majority of her clients are movie stars, so she owns a fitness center, in their vicinity, named Yasmin's Body Image at 133 Hill Road, Bandra, West Mumbai.
According to Yasmin, there was a time when being skinny was a fashion but now it;s time to evolve. She considers herself as a sculptor who aims at molding her employers' body according to the demands of any movie or a project and makes sure they live a healthy life.
Yasmin was born on 4th July 1970 to an Indian origin family of four in the United States of America. She received her primary education at Saint Agnes High School, Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA. Later, her family moved back to Mumbai India.
Yasmin started to pursue her career in Economics and joined St. Xavier's College in Mumbai, India. When she was 18, she had a crooked physique, and that's the reason her friend insisted her to enter the gym. Yasmin then became concern towards her health and joined a local gym. At that time she was only concerned about staying fit and lives a happy life.
Initially, she was shy and was one of the lousiest members of the gym. But, Yasmin soon realized that time and tide for none, and nobody could help her to get out of this situation, other than herself. Eventually, she increased the daily frequency of hitting the gym. She was getting used to of the gym culture, but her goal was still too far away.
She wanted to make a name for herself, unlike any other female trainers who restrict themselves to the gym, she wanted to get out in the world and be the best. She knew that fitness is not just about hitting the gym, but it is also about the inner happiness that she was seeking. She made her life a mission and enjoyed every second of the extensive training in the gym. She loved to challenge herself by setting new fitness goals and would push herself to the limit.
The Big Break
One day, her destiny decided to take her test when Yasmin's gym instructor asked her to manage a fitness training program for others, due to his ill health. Knowing that this could be the first step towards her career, she utilized this opportunity to clear the path of her goal very efficiently.

That fitness program was the much-needed push required in her life which helps Yasmin in making her up mind to pursue the career as a fitness expert. She packed her bags and with lots of dreams in her eyes left for the USA to join the "American Council on Exercise (ACE)." With every passing day the harder she trained, the more trust she gained in herself.
The Medal of Honor
As a result of her persistent hard work, she earned the title of a certified group fitness trainer from the ‘American Council on Exercise. She came back to India, and opened her fitness center named 'Yasmin's Body Image' and started with great enthusiasm. Her initial customers were just a few family members and friends, but soon the word spread throughout Mumbai.
A few celebrities came to know about her mantle and were very impressed. The real dealbreaker came when Katrina Kaif asked Yasmin to be her personal trainer when she was preparing for a movie Ek Tha Tiger. She took the challenge and nailed it. The film became a super hit, and the body shape of Katrina reflected an absolute brilliance and hard work of this unsung hero. The name 'Yasmin Body Fitness' became prominent all around the industry.
The Downhill Ride
Soon the whole Bollywood industry started to approach Yasmin to be their body trainer, and she never ceases to amaze with all that came her way. She expanded her fitness streak overseas in countries like Bangladesh and USA. She didn't restrict her to Bollywood, but a few sports superstars like Zaheer Khan also became her satisfied customer.

She was not satisfied with that and wanted to expand her horizons even further, so she started to master in PILATES. She became a revolutionary icon by becoming the First ever Pilates’ instructor in India, and since then she never looked back. She also received the 'Best Fitness Instructor' award at Vogue Fashion Awards in 2013. She shared her Pilates experience in a book titled ‘Sculpt and Shape – The Pilates Way in 2015.
Yasmin Karachiwala when looks back to her past, she still remembers the time when she got the chance to teach the fitness training program in her early days. She believes that the teaching experience that she gained there had changed the course of her life forever. She was just a simple girl, and only her fitness coup had led the Bollywood industry to fall for her, and now she is a fitness icon for the world.
