Mustafa DRILERS Story

“If results are helping you to achieve the purpose of your life, it is the success.” – Definition of success for PC Mustafa

The world has always been very fair for those who want it to make it large through their hard work and dedication. We have another such inspiring story of PC Mustafa, the CEO, and Co-founder of ID Fresh Food Company. PC Mustafa, whose father was a coolie and he himself failed in class 6, now owns a business of more than 100 crores. He is on his way to change the concept of fresh homemade food by his fresh food business of packaged Idli and Dosa batter.

A Must-known Journey

Mustafa was born and brought up in a remote village in the Wayanad district, Kerala. The village had only a primary school with no roads or electricity. All Kids had to walk at least four kilometers to go to high school and it was the main reason that many dropped out after primary school. His father Ahmed, a coolie on a coffee plantation, never went school after Class 4 and mother Fathima never went to school. He was the eldest along with three younger sisters. He failed in class 6 as he was not interested in studies during his childhood but later on, he studied in the National Institute of Technology in Calicut to fulfill his dream of becoming an engineer.

Young entrepreneurs of india success stories

His journey of becoming an entrepreneur started when he joined executive MBA programme from Indian Institute of Management in Bengaluru. While doing his MBA he would regularly drop by at his cousin Nazer’s Kirana shop in Thiappasandra. One of cousin suggested me him to start a business of making and supplying dosa batter and Mustafa along with his five cousins invested Rs 25,000 and started a company immediately.

They started with a small place of around 550 square feet with two grinders, a mixer, and a sealing machine. They named the venture ID Fresh as they planned to supply fresh dosa and idli batter. With continuous hard work and dedication, ID Fresh has become a Rs 100 crore company in October 2015 which was celebrated on a grand scale. They have grown from producing 10 packets a day in 2005 to 50,000 packets a day with 1,100 employees in 10 years.

You will surely get success if you follow your heart and this is what Mustafa did. He is providing many employment opportunities to rural people in his company to fulfill his main reason of becoming an entrepreneur. Mustafa proved that a person with intelligence and hard work can modify any business to get the best out of it. He is one of the youth icons for the aspiring entrepreneurs. Hopefully, we can expect some other examples like Mustafa, to make this society a better place to live with a dream to do something for the well-being of people.
